Ethio Impact Consulting PLC is seeking a  Head of Finance for one of our client..

Under the supervision of the Deputy Managing Director, the Head of Finance oversee our company’s financial operations, with a strong focus on international financial standard reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing finance and a proven track record of ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  •  Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
  •  Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for the manufacturing operations.
  •  Monitor financial performance against budget and identify variances.
  •  Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws, both domestically and internationally.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  •  Identify and assess financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.
  •  Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  •  Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
  •  Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  •  Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
