Job Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities within the company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost control, effective cash flow management, detailed financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Manager supports strategic decision-making processes to enhance profitability and collaborates closely with operations teams to drive efficiency and financial performance in a heavy industry setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and bank statements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Manage budget preparation and budgetary control.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements.
  • Supervise and support Senior accounting staff.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management for informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS, ERP systems, and Peachtree is preferred.
