Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities within the company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost control, effective cash flow management, detailed financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Manager supports strategic decision-making processes to enhance profitability and collaborates closely with operations teams to drive efficiency and financial performance in a heavy industry setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and bank statements.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Manage budget preparation and budgetary control.
- Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements.
- Supervise and support Senior accounting staff.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Provide financial advice and support to management for informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of IFRS, ERP systems, and Peachtree is preferred.
