Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee civil engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within the specified timeline and budget while ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and design specifications.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Manage the project lifecycle, ensuring all phases are properly initiated, planned, executed, monitored, controlled, and closed.
- Direct and oversee daily operations on construction sites to ensure work progresses according to the schedule.
- Coordinate and manage architects, structural engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Procure necessary materials, equipment, and labor, ensuring optimal utilization and minimal waste.
- Resolve any unexpected issues, conflicts, or delays that arise during construction promptly and effectively.
- Develop detailed project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure the project is delivered within the approved financial limits.
- Review and approve contractor invoices, payment certificates, and variation orders.
- Manage project contracts, ensuring all parties comply with terms and conditions, and handle claims or disputes professionally.
Requirements
- Education: BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and construction.
- At least 4 to 5 years of proven experience specifically in a Project Management or Project Leadership role.
