Poultry Agribusiness and Data Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical, curious, and proactive Poultry Agribusiness & Data Analyst to join our team in Bishoftu. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data across our parent stock, hatchery, and broiler operations
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, organize, and maintain data from parent stock, hatchery, broiler, and other poultry farm operations.
- Build and maintain a structured poultry farm database to support reliable historical and real-time performance analysis.
- Analyze key poultry operational KPIs, including mortality, FCR, feed consumption, body weight, growth rate, livability, egg production, hatchability, chick quality, fertility, incubation performance, and other relevant production indicators.
- Analyze farm performance by flock, house, batch, age, production cycle, and location to identify trends, variances, and performance gaps.
- Monitor performance against budgets, standards, targets, historical performance, and industry benchmarks where available.
- Prepare regular management reports, dashboards, performance summaries, and data-based recommendations.
- Identify root causes of operational and performance variances and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Develop data-based analysis to support decision-making, planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement across poultry operations.
- Strong MS Excel and spreadsheet skills are essential, including data analysis, PivotTables, dashboards, advanced formulas, data management, and reporting. Experience with Power BI and AI tools for data analysis and automation is an advantage.
- Explore opportunities to automate repetitive reporting and develop more efficient data management and analytical tools.
- Work closely with farm managers, hatchery teams, production teams, and management to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent data.
- Support the development of standardized data collection formats, KPI definitions, reporting systems, and data-quality controls.
- Provide management with clear, practical, and data-driven insights and recommendations to improve poultry farm performance and profitability.
Requirements
- A degree in Agribusiness/Animal Science/ Poultry Science/Economics/Statistics, or a related field would be preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years, preferably in poultry/agribusiness
- Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Medical allowances and Transportation provided between Bishoftu city and the farm.
