Job Description

The Business unit manager is Chair of the Management Team and works closely with the other
members of the Management Team in executing the business plan. The business unit manager further
develops and implements the strategic plan together with the Board.

Duties And Responsibilities

  •  Shape and guide procedures for Production, Administration, Financial & Sales, and everything in
    between
  •  Oversee day-to-day operations
  •  Ensure our customers enjoy our promise: Taste the Quality.
  •  Drive results, ensure a profitable operation in line with the plan for growth
  •  Manage relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Board, Farmers, Government) and key-clients.
  • Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
  •  Good with people and enjoy chatting with clients
  • Skilled multitasker and visionary
  • Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Requirements

  •  Minimum 10 years experience as a leader in Food / Production operations
  •  Strong background in Food operations and/or Leisure / Retail.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in food technology, business, agriculture, or a related field (Master's degree
    preferred).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale poultry production operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in the poultry industry is a plus.
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  •  Strong and connecting personality
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian business acumen, rules, taxes, and regulations.
