Job Description
Under the supervision of the head of production operation, the junior machinist operates all furniture machines (cutting, edge binding, boring operate and produce furniture products based on their product designs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives prepared products from the head of the relevant work unit ensuring appropriate space is available to prevent damage after verifying their dimensions, quality, and completeness, and signing for them.
- Cutting various required types of wood and MDF to size according to the provided instructions.
- Monitoring and controlling each stage of the production process to prevent raw material wastage and production defects.
- Ensures that each production unit employee has access to the fixed assets and machinery required for production, in accordance with the nature of their work, and supervises the careful handling of the equipment.
- Before operating the machines, ensure they are properly assembled and that the electrical lines are not frayed or exposed.
- Using the machinery solely for the intended type of work.

Returning work tools to their proper places;
- Unplugging sockets and turning off circuit breakers after finishing work with the machines used;
- Oversees the overall workflow and quality of operations performed on the milling machine;
- Ensures, in collaboration with the immediate supervisor, that immediate solutions are implemented for any errors or oversights occurring during the work process;
Requirements
- Education: BSc Degree in mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering from recognized university or college diploma in electricity or industrial machine drive.
- Experience: 0 Year working experience for BSC degree or two years working experience for diploma
- Electrical motor engineering or woodwork technology graduate and having furniture manufacturing experience is preferable.
- Experiences from furniture manufacturing or private manufacturing companies is an advantageous.
