Senior Accountant

Job Description

Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is looking for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a Private Company.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting, and the cosmetics manufacturing industry, particularly related to product costing, inventory management, and supply chain finance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and cash flow.
• Develop and maintain accurate product costing models for shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and other SKUs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory adjustments, and cost allocations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and production teams to optimize financial performance.
• Support external audits and work closely with auditors and tax advisors.
• Monitor and report on key financial KPIs to senior management.
• Assist in ERP system maintenance (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Evaluate financial risks and recommend best practices for cost control and efficiency.

REQUIREMENT

• BA Degree in Accounting and Finance with 5 years and above experience.
• Cosmetics manufacturing experience is a must, especially with shampoos, conditioners,
