Job Description

Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is looking for a Logistics Manager on behalf of a Private
Company.

A logistics manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods, materials, and resources. Expected to play a key role in optimizing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management while minimizing costs and delays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound and outbound transportation to ensure timely delivery.
• Plan efficient delivery routes and manage vehicle fleet operations.
• Negotiate contracts with logistics providers, freight companies, and suppliers.
• Minimize transportation costs and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels, prevent shortages, and ensure efficient storage.
• Oversee warehouse staff, layout, and storage solutions.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and shipments.
• Ensure adherence to local and international transportation laws, customs regulations, and safety standards.
• Implement security measures to prevent theft, damage, or loss of goods.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
• Use ERP, WMS, and tracking systems for real-time logistics monitoring.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, costs, and efficiency.

Requirements

• BA in logistics and supply chain management and related fields.
• 7 years and above experience in logistics and supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics management.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Leadership and team management.
• Proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
