Accountant
Job Description
Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is looking for an Accountant on behalf of a private company.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting within a commercial or trading environment, and proficiency with modern accounting systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute full cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month end close.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and insights.
- Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit processes and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role, preferably within commercial, trading or import/export-focused companies.
- Demonstrated experience on Peachtree or ERP
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP/IFRS/
- Ability to perform financial analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ideally some experience with a more advanced ERP system.
- Basic budgeting and forecasting knowledge.
