Senior Cost Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail oriented and result driven Senior Cost and Budget Accountant is responsible for computing the cost of products and monitors the level of both finished goods and raw packing materials. Closely works with the production team and store in order to ensure proper and optimum utilization of materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Calculate standard and actual material costs, conversion costs, and conversion losses.
• Assess the cost build-up for imported raw materials and finished goods, ensuring
cost effectiveness and profitability.
• Prepare and analyze cost records, monthly cost reports, and assist in annual periodic budget
preparation.
• Implement and monitor cost allocation plans and costing systems.
• Record journal entries, maintain fixed asset registers, and reconcile stock and asset counts
with accounting records.
• Coordinate with procurement for policy implementation and production/store departments for material utilization.
• Lead, coach, and assist teams, and support additional tasks as assigned to uphold the company’s professional image.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 6 years of relevant experience as a an accountant at least 2 years’ experience as cost accountant in
manufacturing company.
