Job Description

The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles and mechanical equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The position involves performing routine maintenance, identifying mechanical faults, replacing defective parts, and supporting the workshop in delivering quality service. Fresh graduates with a Diploma in Auto Mechanic, Drafting, or a related field are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tune-ups.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components.
  • Diagnose engine, electrical, and transmission issues using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct testing to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Maintain records of repairs and services performed.
  • Keep the work area clean and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

  • TVET Certificate/Diploma in Auto Mechanics or a related field.
  • Previous work experience is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Ability to use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
