Sr. Customs Assessor
Job Description
Safe Zone Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Customs Assessor to join our team in Addis Ababa. The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience in customs documentation and clearance. Applicants without previous customs experience are kindly advised not to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process customs documents accurately and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to customs queries and resolve clearance issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and timely shipments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines and operational targets.
Requirement
- 3–5 years of experience in customs assessment or clearance is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, documentation, and Ethiopian Customs procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
