Roles and Responsibilities

– Evaluate and underwrite risks in a cost-efficient way, while adhering to regulatory and company standards, ensuring that profitability and business objectives are achieved. This involves gathering background information and collaborating with specialized colleagues to accurately assess the risk.

– Analyzing financial data and evaluating documents to assess the risk associated with insurance applications.

– Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of insurance applications by reviewing relevant documents.

– Making informed decisions to approve, modify, or decline applications based on risk evaluations and compliance with company policies.

– Preparing detailed reports on risk assessments and communicating findings

– Assisting in the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

– BA in Economics, Statistics and related fields

– 1-3 years’ experience

– Experience in the insurance industry or worked as an underwriting officer for a service provider company.
