Job Description
Ethio Impact Consulting PLC is seeking a Senior Cost and Budget Accountant for one of our client.
The Senior Cost and Budget Accountant is responsible for computing the cost of products and monitors the level of both finished goods and raw/packing materials. Closely works with the production team and store in order to ensure proper and optimum utilization of materials.
Responsibilitie
- Calculate the standard and actual material and conversion cost of goods produced and timely report the conversion loss visa vis the standard cost.
- Calculate the cost build up for imported raw material used for manufacturing and calculate the cost of
Finished Good. - Record and analyze the cost of issued raw materials, labor, overhead, and services to evaluate cost-
effectiveness and compare cost factors that affect prices and profitability during the production process. - Implementation and monitoring of appropriate cost allocation plans/costing system.
- Control and analyze purchase material costs, Lead, coach and assist and conduct.
- Prepare all the necessary journal entries and record/post CNET software
- Monitor the level of finished goods as well as the level of raw and packing materials
- Monitor/Reconcile the movement of both finished and raw/packing materials in the store
- Closely work with the store as well as production department to ensure proper and optimum
utilization/movement of materials between store and production - Analyze cost records and prepare regular reports
- Prepare monthly reports for the cost and budget section as per the request of the finance manager.
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual and periodic budgets/forecast
- Coordinate with the procurement manager for the proper implementation of the procurement policy of
the company - Analyze and make proper recording for obsolete and excess stocks held for sale and consumption
- Organize the regular stock and fixed assets counts and reconcile it with the accounting records and
stock bin cards. - Record update and maintain fixed asset registration book and reconcile periodically for financial
reports. - Preform other related tasks as required
- Undertakes such additional duties which may from time to time be assigned to the Employee in the discharge of his / her duties.
- To ensure that a correct and proper image of the Company is maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with six (6) years of relevant work experience as a an accountant at least 2 years’ experience as cost accountant in manufacturing company. Full professional qualification is desirable. Experience cost accounting is mandatory.
- Regular and on time attendance
- May be required to work overtime.
- Exposure in using ERP is desirable.
