Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Procurement, the officer coordinates and facilitates the acquisition of goods and services needed for the production and operation, check and confirm the quality of products, services at the purchasing, transportation and delivery time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

– Search for reliable suppliers of goods and services needed by the company for production and daily operation.

– Creating long lasting and mutually benefiting relationship with reliable suppliers.

– Develop, implement and maintain reporting system regarding procurement activities and prepare the required purchasing reports periodically and when the need arises.

– Initiate and prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plan and execute and follow up the plan after obtaining the necessary approval from the concerned management body.

– Receive orders and follow up the timely purchase of goods and services by contacting the potential suppliers and requests for quotation and information regarding the product for Order Placement.

– Follow up the import formalities starting from opening of Letter of Credit or approval of Purchase Order from the Bank process to handover of the goods to the storekeepers.

– Requesting and preparing shipping lines freight payment and Preparing Shipping Lines documents for endorsement.

– Follow up clearance from National Bank on foreign currency utilization status of the company.

– Undertaking different related activities assigned by the Department Manager and management members.

Requirements:

– Diploma or Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management/Accounting / Marketing Management or related fields.

– 4 years or above for Diploma/ 2 years or above for Degree relevant work experience in Purchasing/Marketing or related Department.

– Furniture manufacturing & selling background is advantageous.

– Excellent communication skill both written & verbal

– Ability to analyze and interpret financial, monitoring and other performance information
