As an HR manager, my primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the entire recruitment process. In addition to that, I am also involved in workforce planning, which entails identifying talent gaps and devising strategies to address them. One of my most significant achievements at my present organization has been the development of a comprehensive HR manual. This manual serves as a valuable resource for both new and existing employees, incorporating best practices and guidelines related to various HR processes, such as recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. Furthermore, I have implemented a highly effective knowledge management centre, which provides employees with quick access to critical information and resources. These initiatives have significantly streamlined our hiring process and enhanced overall productivity. I take pride in the positive impact they have had on the organization.
In my role as the head of the training department, I had diverse responsibilities. One of my main tasks was gathering feedback from trainers and trainees through monitoring and evaluation. Furthermore, I had to maintain cordial relationships with the local government, trainees, clients, and other stakeholders. Additionally, I ensured that all essential information was kept up-to-date in the trainee database and training records. I am proud to say that I successfully develop the Training department from scratch and created and monitored in-house employee training materials, and I collaborated with external stakeholders to acquire expert advice on instructional design.
As HR Officer, I was expected to Participate and organize assessments in the recruitment and selection process, maintains staff personal files and Ensure employees have valid Employment contract on file, record staff information for new entry, ensures that all newly hired staffs Inductions’ is scheduled and conducted with all departments, follow-up staff exits process which includes following-up clearance, final payment, work certificate contact exist interview, manage recruitment in the absence of HR Manager, Performs any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
In my role as an intern project officer, I was responsible for organizing and supervising peer education, as well as setting up entrepreneurship and life skill training programs for drug-addicted youth. I worked to assist the youth in selecting ideal income-generating activities, while also overseeing the Training of Trainers and providing refreshments. In addition, I supported and followed up with orphans and vulnerable children and their caregivers (grandmothers), specifically guiding grandmothers in selecting ideal income-generating activities. I oversaw funds and budgets on assigned projects and kept accurate records, following company procedures when managing files. I also updated stakeholders on project progress and attended various government and non-government gatherings and seminars on behalf of the organization.
