Job Description
Hallelujah General Hospital is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and qualified Nutritionist to join our clinical team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our mission of “bringing quality care home” by providing evidence-based nutritional care, assessing patient dietary needs, and designing specialized meal plans to support patient recovery and wellness. This position is ideal for both recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to grow in a dynamic hospital environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate the nutritional status and dietary needs of patients based on their medical history, lab results, and clinical conditions.
- Dietary Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor personalized nutritional care plans and specialized therapeutic diets for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with Internists, physicians, and the broader multidisciplinary medical team to integrate nutrition into overall patient treatment plans.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients and their families on healthy eating habits, dietary modifications, and long-term nutritional management for chronic illnesses.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure food service and nutritional deliveries align with hospital health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Nutrition from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience. Entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds andinternship experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Key Skills: Strong understanding of clinical nutrition and dietetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced medical team.
