Job Description
The ππ«. πππ ππ₯ πππ«π―π’πππ¬ ππ’π«ππππ¨π« plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates all legal activities of the company. Generally functions as the primary unit responsible for providing specialized legal advice, ensuring statutory compliance, and representing an organizationβs interests in legal matters. This office provides strategic guidance to management, ensuring operations align with existing laws and regulations.
Duty & Responsibility
- Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates all the legal issues and cases of the corporate office and business units.
- Renders legal advice to the Board, CEO, management teams and business unit managers on rules and regulations, directives, contracts, court decisions and other legal issues.
- Provides legal interpretations and opinion on relevant national legislation that might affect the company.
- Ensures that the policies, rules and regulations developed by the company and business units are coherent with existing laws.
- Drafts, revises and reviews the companyβs and business unitsβ contracts with third parties.
- Represents the company and the business units in the court of law in legal matters.
- Handles all matters that require legal expertise inputs to the company.
- Reviews and comments on large purchase contracts.
- Generates periodic reports regarding the Unitβs performance.
- Performs other similar tasks as assigned by the Managing Director
Requirments
- A minimum of an LLB/LLM Degree in Business Law, Corporate Law or related field of studies from a recognized higher learning institution
- 8/10 years of relevant experience, 3 of which are in a managerial position
