Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager with a strong track record in driving revenue growth, increasing container booking volumes, expanding market share, and developing and building new partnerships with new suppliers, buyers, or agents in untapped markets within the logistics and shipping industry. The role will be responsible for leading sales and marketing strategies, acquiring and retaining key clients, strengthening brand presence, and identifying new business opportunities that support sustainable growth and long-term profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Aggressively drive FCL and LCL container bookings through proactive client acquisition, strategic account development, targeted market outreach, and conversion of new business opportunities into consistent shipment volumes and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute high-impact sales strategies targeting importers, exporters, manufacturers, and traders.
- Identify, pursue, and secure strategic and high-value customers with long-term revenue potential.
- Building partnerships with new suppliers, buyers, or agents in untapped markets, expanding market coverage, and strengthening the company’s competitive position.
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiations to closing and account expansion.
- Build, lead, and motivate a results-oriented sales team focused on aggressive growth targets.
- Set weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets, KPIs, and revenue benchmarks.
- Conduct strict performance evaluations and implement corrective or incentive-based actions.
- Drive continuous sales capability development through coaching, training, and field engagement.
- Lead sales meetings, strategy sessions, and team performance reviews with a strong accountability culture.
- Personally manage key accounts and strategic customers.
- Negotiate commercial terms, rates, and service agreements with clients, carriers, and partners.
- Strengthen relationships with shipping lines, agents, and vendors to secure competitive capacity and pricing.
- Design and execute aggressive marketing and lead-generation initiatives.
- Analyze market intelligence, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations and documentation teams to ensure service excellence and customer retention.
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline analysis.
- Track booking volumes, conversion rates, container utilization, and revenue performance.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong sales leadership background in logistics or shipping (mandatory).
- Hands-on expertise in FCL, LCL, container booking, and freight forwarding operations.
- Proven ability to close deals, grow accounts, and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
- Minimum of 7 years in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding industry.
- At least 3 years in a senior sales or managerial or leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in scaling sales teams and driving revenue growth
