Progynist, an indigenous civil society organization, established in 1997 with a vision of empowered women and girls who rightfully participate in Ethiopia’s social, economic, and political processes is looking for the following candidate:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the central MEAL focal point at the Head Office.
- Provide technical backstopping and guidance to field-based M&E Officers.
- Consolidate project-wide data and ensure consistency across all sites.
- Develop and oversee implementation of MEAL plans aligned with PEPFAR/USDoS frameworks.
- Regularly review MER and CUSTOM key performance indicators of both OVC & CHCT interventions.
- Conduct routine data quality assessments (RDQAs) and supervise corrective actions.
- Aggregate and validate data from field offices for submission to prime partner or USDoS/PEPFAR.
- Maintain centralized databases and dashboards at the Head Office.
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Establish and monitor beneficiary feedback mechanisms across project sites.
- Ensure accountability systems are functional and responsive to community needs.
- Organize reflection and learning sessions at the Head Office with project teams.
- Support M&E Officers and project staff on MEAL tools and standards.
- Support dissemination of findings to stakeholders, including government health offices and community partners.
- Contribute to evidence-based decision-making and scale-up of successful interventions.
Requirements
- MPH or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Project management, Social Sciences, and related field
- Minimum 2-3 years in MEAL roles within HIV/AIDS, health, or USG -funded projects.
- Familiarity with PEPFAR/USDoS reporting frameworks.
- Knowledge of data analysis Software (COMMCARE, KOBO Toolbox, Excel, Power BI), preferable
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor field-level staff.
