Job Description

Are you passionate about leveraging technology to improve organizational efficiency and service delivery? We are seeking an IT Officer to provide reliable IT support, develop and maintain integrated systems, and ensure secure, efficient operations across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, you will work closely with all departments to implement modern IT solutions, support business processes, and strengthen digital capacity in line with GC IT standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives and responds to support requests, and solutions within Service Desk System.
  • Installs operation systems and maintains client hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Manages AD accounts, Installs network printers, setups IT Equipment.
  • Collaborates with the IT team to ensure the proper operation of all systems.
  • Familiars with remote systems software, and provides remote support, if needed
  • Adheres to the organization’s policies and procedures, and observes security rules while writing the code.
  • Support the development and implementation of modern integrated IT solutions supporting GC business needs, and making recommendations for system improvements.
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Support other departments with technical inquiries, and find appropriate solutions.
  • Designs dashboard, pages, modules, and interfaces of a program.
  • Update existing systems and deploy them online.
  • Testing sites and applications in different browsers and environments.
  • Create/update clear technical systems documentation for developed IT solutions.
  • Knowledge in data analysis and data visualization, performing upgrades of IT systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Participates in IT orientation for new hires and conducts training on automated business processes to ensure efficient and effective use of IT systems.
  • Understands and applies information security policies.
  • Performs other duties and any relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirments

  • A university degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience can be substituted for a degree, in the equivalent of 2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of education.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related area (in both helpdesk and software development).
  • Proven working experience as a web developer, assisted in the design and development of systems and applications needed to fulfill business requirements.
  • Contributed to IT projects by providing analysis of business requirements.
  • Past work with NGOs and/or international donor-funded programs is preferred.
  • Oral and written fluency in English is required.
