Job Description

Under the supervision of the MEAL Manager the MEAL Officer of DPO mainly responsible for facilitate and organize MEAL application tools and ensure the application tool is in the entire program for further action.

Duties and Responsiblities

  • Contribute in the role-out of the MEAL Framework in the field by partnering with Regional coordinator including implementation of results-oriented monitoring system;
  • Support the RC and project staff in ensuring that MEAL standards are adhered to along the project cycle phases;
  • Support to / facilitate streamlining of the MEAL as per requirements from the project staff;
  • Establish and execute monthly and weekly monitoring work plans;
  • Ensure proper monthly, quarterly and bi-annual results-based reporting and data collection, and regular collection of information according to the objective (s) and results of the project.
  • Set up & maintain MEAL data base;
  • Develop the capacities of project staff and monitoring and evaluation of the projects according to the MEAL framework;
  • Support evaluations and audit missions by providing relevant information and through coordination;
  • Facilitate and organize the application of MEAL tools and ensure the application of it in the entire program;
  • Supporting the country office project/ program team in designing/developing of projects including log frame;
  • Supporting partner organizations in the conduct of baseline/feasibility studies in the project areas and/or be responsible for outsourcing;
  • Leading on the identification of case studies and lessons learned and contribute to the dissemination of those lessons and best practices with partners and other stakeholders, and across the organization;
  • Ensuring donor and requirements on documentation of the projects.
  • Performs any additional activities which may assigned by the MEAL Manager.

Requirements

  • BA/BSC or BSC/MSC in development studies, Rural development and local studies(RLDS), Statistics, Economics, and other related social science fields
  • Minimum 2 years for BA/BSC or 4 years for MA/MSC
  • Good analytical skill, Data management quality, Team player, Good communication skill, Good report writing skill.
  • Knowledge of English and working language of the duty station is an asset,
