Job Description
VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country. VisionFund MFI is currently looking candidates for the position of Programmer based at the Head Office. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze Business Requirements
- Design, develop, and implement software applications based on user requirements.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Maintain and improve existing software.
- Collaborate with designers, analysts, and other developers in the software development life cycle.
- Test and debug applications to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in software development.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for future reference.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requrment
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems or Information Technology and Software Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience of which 3 years of relevant work experience in system development or information technology operation.
- Proven experience as a programmer or software developer.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
- Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, ASP.NET).
- Knowledge of mobile app development (e.g., Android, iOS).
