Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Capacity Building, Resource Mobilization & Partnership (CRP) Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead SCV’s strategic efforts in fundraising, high-level partnership development, and organizational capacity strengthening. The position holder will be the architect of our financial sustainability, ensuring that our programs continue to transform lives across Ethiopia.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and monitor a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with SCV’s long-term goals.
  • Identify, map, and pursue funding opportunities from diverse channels, including institutional donors (UN Agencies, World Bank, USAID, EU, etc.), foundations, corporate CSRs, and philanthropists.
  • Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring the submission of high-quality, winning grant applications.
  • Maintain and expand SCV’s donor portfolio through effective donor stewardship.
  • Cultivate and manage high-value relationships with government agencies, NGOs, UN bodies, and private sector actors.
  • Lead negotiations and formalize partnership agreements, including MOUs, teaming agreements, and contracts.
  • Represent SCV in high-level networks, forums, and coordination platforms to enhance the organization’s visibility and influence.
  • Conduct organizational capacity assessments (OCA) and design tailored capacity-building plans.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills in resource mobilization and project management.
  • Strengthen internal systems for knowledge management, organizational learning, and best-practice sharing.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee compliance with complex donor requirements and internal organizational policies.
  • Monitor resource utilization and generate analytical reports for senior leadership.

Requirement

  • Master’s Degree or BA Degree in International Development, Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, and partnership development, including at least 6 years in a senior leadership or management role, preferably within the NGO sector.
